Driver license and first motorcycle

Driver license and first motorcycle
Learning to drive a motorcycle

First, I wanted to buy a 50cc scooter, as an upgrade to an e-scooter and bike. Second, my friends persuaded me to get something more powerful - say a 100cc scooter. Third, why even pass the driving test for scooters only, why not pass the license for the largest category? Alright. That's how I started training for a category A license on a BMW 650cc motorcycle. I believe that experience made me want to buy a real motorcycle - not a scooter.

The process typically begins with enrolling in a motorcycle safety course, where aspiring riders are introduced to the fundamental principles of motorcycle operation, safety protocols, and the rules of the road specific to motorcyclists. These courses often include both classroom instruction and practical, hands-on riding exercises, providing a comprehensive foundation for future riders.

Obtaining a motorcycle license is not just a legal prerequisite; it represents a commitment to responsible riding and a continuous journey of learning and improvement. Many riders view it as a passport to exploration, enabling them to embark on solo adventures, group rides, and the sheer joy of navigating the open road with the wind at their back.

Beyond the practical aspects, obtaining a motorcycle license is an initiation into a passionate community of riders who share a love for the freedom, thrill, and camaraderie that motorcycling brings. It's a journey that extends beyond the licensing process, marking the beginning of a lifelong adventure on two wheels.

Since it was the end of the motorcycle season, I immediately bought a brand new Suzuki V-Strom 650XT. I looked at several motorcycles, but this one somehow fit everything. The idea was to accumulate as many kilometers as possible over the winter, so that in the next season I would have at least some driving experience.

When I got my license, well, first I parked my motorcycle in the city center. Just to feel that now I can park everywhere. After always looking for a place to park my car, this was an incredibly good feeling.

I also bought a couple of cones, to practice a couple of things on my own at the training ground. Also, watched a video course "Smart Moto Training" with lots of tips on smart motorcycle riding. You know, a mix of theory, then apply in practice.
