Niagara's Spirit in Montenegro: Cijevna's Majestic Falls
Cijevna is a river shared by Albania and Montenegro. It flows through a deep canyon in Montenegro, spanning about 15 km, widening in some parts and narrowing in others. The waterfall at this location, near Podgorica, is named after Niagara Falls in Canada, perhaps due to its configuration and natural descent.
From the main road Podgorica-Tuzi, take a turn and soon you'll arrive at a larger restaurant - Niagara restaurant. Right by the shore, you can relax, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy homemade cuisine. I recommend it to all motorcyclists passing through Podgorica. However, keep in mind that during the summer months, the water level decreases, and the river loses its waterfall. The best months to visit are in spring and early summer.
As you continue past the restaurant, you'll traverse rocky passages and holes, offering the opportunity to enjoy the canyon from the most picturesque vantage points. If you get closer to the waterfall, the droplets will gently embrace you. Be careful; the rocks can be slippery.
Scaling the canyon walls, a panoramic view unfolds, showcasing the raw beauty of nature's artwork. Embark on a thrilling journey into the heart of the untamed, where the Cijevna River winds its way through a rugged canyon, carving a path of adventure and mystery.
If you are visiting Podgorica, the following navigation map will guide you from the city center to the Niagara restaurant. Don't miss the opportunity. You can park and safely leave your motorcycle in front of restaurant.
As you set foot on the rocky terrain, the echoing roar of the rushing water becomes your companion, whispering tales of centuries-old secrets waiting to be unveiled. Watch the cinematic spectacle.
