Old road to Ulcinj

Old road to Ulcinj
Ulcinj - The southernmost town on Montenegrin shores

I took the old road to Ulcinj, from Virpazar, via Ostros and Vladimir. The road winds along Lake Skadar, the largest lake in Montenegro and the Balkan Peninsula. The rhythmic pulse of the road makes the heart beat faster. Rocky heights and cliffs demand precision in every turn. The very beauty of the landscape becomes an inseparable part of the ride itself.

Nestled within the embrace of rugged landscapes, a pristine lake lay cradled at the base of towering cliffs, creating a breathtaking tableau that beckoned to the intrepid traveler. Surrounding this idyllic waterbody were roads that clung to the cliffsides, snaking along the precipitous edges, offering a thrilling and picturesque journey.
