Pestingrad - The rock with a view

The forecast says that there will be no rain at the destination. But fog and gloomy clouds awaited me on the way. However, when I came out of the tunnel, the sky opened and the sun shone. Today, for the first time, I'm testing what it's like to go hiking on the trails - but I'm going to my destination by motorcycle. That means I have to change into adequate clothes, put on hiking boots, and pack the motorcycle equipment and leave it safely on the motorcycle.

I also brought all the equipment so that when I get to the top, I can prepare a coffee and enjoy the view from 1000 meters above sea level.

Pestingrad is a peak above Kotor with a phenomenal view. I rode a motorbike from Cetinje to Njeguš, and then hiked to Pestingrad, at 1000 meters above sea level. Along the way, I tested some motorcycle gadgets - a bluetooth microphone under the helmet, a cockpit view while driving, a net for protecting soft luggage, and a safety holder for Garmin navigation.

Embarking on the rugged adventure of climbing rocky trails is a journey that beckons both the intrepid explorer and the nature enthusiast. As the climber gains elevation, panoramic vistas unfold, rewarding the effort with breathtaking views of valleys, distant peaks, and sprawling landscapes. The air becomes crisper, the scent of pine and earth mingling with the invigorating aroma of adventure.

On the way, the fog fell, I thought of going back, but after leaving the tunnel, a completely different sky. At Njeguši, I change into hiking gear and continue for about 3 km to the top. The hiking trail is marked all the way and belongs to the easy trails.

However, as the sun begins its descent, casting long shadows across the landscape, the flower initiates its ritual of retreat. I took picture of the same flower group at start and on return.

You will miss a track every now and then, but it's easy to find the right way again. Landscape is a fairytale, hiking and riding my motorcycle complements the adventure. I made myself a coffee at the top. I sip an aromatic brandy to warm up - the kind when the wind chills you. I enjoyed the view for hours and watched from above with binoculars.
